Description On March 24th 2026,  workshop titled “Mentoring of the students on how to Crack an Interview” was conducted, strategically timed as placement season is imminent. The session served as a critical intervention aimed at enhancing the students’ interview readiness and boosting their confidence. The workshop began with the formal felicitation  and introduction of our Alumni Mr. Karan Khanna (Batch 2015-2017) by Dr. Suresh Suvarna. Mr. Karan Khanna strategically categorized the students according to their specializations and backgrounds. This segmentation was intended to underscore the diverse professional trajectories and highlight the significance of tailoring one’s approach based on individual strengths and domain-specific knowledge.Mr. Karan Khanna then pivoted to the importance of staying informed through daily engagement with current affairs, particularly via reputable news sources. He initiated a dialogue on the A.S.K. framework (Attributes, Skills, and Knowledge), meticulously deconstructing each component. Knowledge Mr. Karan began by expounding on the concept of Knowledge, underscoring the imperative of being a polymath in today’s competitive job market. He articulated the value of possessing a multidisciplinary understanding, advocating for a holistic awareness of various organizational functions beyond one’s core domain. He reinforced that this breadth of knowledge can serve as a differentiator in high-stakes interviews.    Attitude In addressing Attitude, Mr. Karan described it as the psychological blueprint for navigating challenges with poise and a learning-oriented mindset. He stressed the importance of maintaining a growth-oriented attitude, characterized by an openness to feedback, a willingness to acknowledge and address personal limitations, and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.  Skills On the topic of Skills, Mr. Karan redefined them as the critical link between theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving capabilities. He identified several key competencies essential for standing out in the recruitment process, including strategic thinking, leadership acumen, analytical prowess, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.  Conclusion The workshop concluded with a robust Q&A session, where students’ queries were addressed by Mr. Karan Khanna. Questions ranged from how to tactfully address personal weaknesses in an interview to the strategic advantage of asking insightful questions to the interviewer.
