Description

 

Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Management, Mumbai, proudly celebrated International  Day of YOGA  2025-“Yoga Mahakumbh” on 21st June which is a  signature initiative—a national wellness movement supported by AICTE,DTE and the Ministry of AYUSH. The event aimed to instill the values of discipline, mindfulness, and holistic health through the ancient Indian practice of Yoga.

The session was conducted by Ms. Munira Bootwaala, a certified and experienced yoga instructor, renowned for her integrative and inclusive approach to wellness. The event began by welcome address to Ms. Munira, highlighting the importance of Yoga in promoting a balanced lifestyle, especially in the demanding world of business and academics.

Participants included faculty members, administrative staff, and students, with enthusiastic participation across all age groups. Ms. Bootwaala led the participants through a structured yoga routine that included:

·         Loosening and warm-up exercises

·         A sequence of basic and intermediate Yoga Asanas

·         Pranayama (breathing techniques) for stress relief

·         A concluding session on guided meditation and mindfulness

The event was supported with posters, banners, and a digital backdrop reflecting the message of Yoga for Harmony and Peace. The participants expressed appreciation for the instructor’s calm demeanor, clarity of instruction, and encouragement to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.

The institute reaffirms its commitment to fostering student and staff well-being through such initiatives and looks forward to making Yoga an integral part of campus life under such effective initiatives.
