| The Finance Department successfully organized a seminar on “Wealth Creation and Financial Management in an Evolving Economic Landscape”, which witnessed active participation from around 100 students. The seminar aimed to enhance students’ understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and long-term wealth creation in today’s dynamic economic environment. The first session was delivered by Saurabh Khanna, As manager in training and education department from MCX commodity exchamnge limited. who focused on retirement planning and building a second source of income. He emphasized the importance of starting early when planning for retirement, highlighting how compounding plays a crucial role in accumulating wealth over time. He also discussed various avenues for generating a second income, such as investments in mutual funds, stocks, real estate, and side businesses. He encouraged students to adopt disciplined saving habits and to diversify their income streams to ensure financial security and independence in the long run. The second session was conducted by Nikhil Agrawal,Partner,AKGVG and association who spoke on wealth creation through long-term investment strategies. He stressed the significance of patience and consistency in investing, explaining how long-term investments in equities and other financial instruments can yield substantial returns.
He also guided students on risk management, portfolio diversification, and the importance of staying invested despite market fluctuations. His talk provided practical insights into making informed financial decisions and building sustainable wealth over time. After the lunch break, the seminar continued with paper presentations by second-year students specializing in finance. The students presented well-researched papers on various contemporary financial topics, showcasing their analytical and presentation skills. Overall, the seminar proved to be highly informative and engaging. The participants appreciated the practical knowledge shared by the speakers and found the sessions valuable for understanding real-world financial planning and investment strategies.
