International Yoga Day 2024

Date & Time:  21st June, 2024 2 Hours (11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.)

Description: 21st June is observed as the International Day of Yoga since 2015. The theme for this year is ‘Yoga for Women Empowerment”. LLIM encourages its staff members and students to understand benefits of practicing meaningful Yoga.
 
Objective: The International Yoga and Meditation Workshop was organised with an aim to promote holistic well-being through yoga and meditation practices and enable participants to learn techniques to enhance physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The workshop will foster a sense of community and support among attendees. Ultimately, it seeks to inspire lifelong wellness and inner peace.
 
Activity Undertaken: In celebration of International Day of Yoga, the institute aegis to Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation Centre, Gamdevi Mumbai has organised Yoga and Meditation Workshop synchronizing this year’s theme “Yoga for Women Empowerment”.
 
The Participants were the Faculty members and  non-teaching staff . The details of the yoga workshop are as follows:
 
Representatives: Ms. Shiva , Ms. Dipali, Mr. Praful, Ms. Pareen; Mr. Pravin; Dr. Tyagi
 
1. Introduction: The workshop commenced with the introduction given by Prof. Asha Varma along with Guest welcome and Felicitations.
 
2. Workshop Details:
 
a. Ms. Shiva spoke about Brahama Kumaris and their spread services to society. She also mentioned Yoga and its importance alongwith the theme.
 
b. Ms. Deepali demonstrated HUT YOGA which were further followed by all the participants.
 
c. Mr. Praful spoke about Rajyoga and its benefits in routine life. He also inculcated deeper understanding of traditional yogasanas, its origin, anatomy, its importance in modern day to day life also body-breath-mind awareness.
 
d. Ms. Prareen guided participants the right way of doing meditation with practical instruction which was accompanied with traditional live music played by Mr. Pravin.
 
e. Dr. Tyagi shared her life changing journey of joining Rajyoga.
 
 
3. Vote of Thanks: The workshop concluded with vote of thanks presented by Dr. Arati Kale.
 
The serene presence, profound knowledge, and compassionate guidance of the instructors created an atmosphere of tranquility and empowerment that resonated with all the participants. The session inspired many to embrace yoga and meditation as powerful tools for personal growth and empowerment.
