Description | Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management (LLIM), Mumbai, through its Department of Marketing and Operations, successfully organized a Five-Day National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Innovative Research Methodologies: Integrating AI for Academic Excellence and Ethical Practices” from 08th to 12th December 2025. The programme was conducted in hybrid mode, with the inaugural session held at the LLIM Seminar Hall and subsequent sessions conducted online via the Zoom platform. The FDP aimed to enhance research competencies among academicians and research scholars by integrating Artificial Intelligence into modern research methodologies while emphasizing ethical academic practices. The FDP addressed the growing importance of AI in academic research and focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of the complete research lifecycle, including statistical analysis, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, AI-assisted research paper writing, literature review and referencing techniques, research integrity, and quality publication practices. Eminent academicians and subject experts served as resource persons and delivered insightful sessions through interactive lectures and practical demonstrations, enabling participants to gain hands-on exposure to contemporary research tools. The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members, research scholars, students, and industry professionals from various institutions across the country. Participants benefited from in-depth discussions on responsible AI usage, publication ethics, and effective proposal writing. The FDP contributed significantly to enhancing research orientation, promoting ethical scholarship, and fostering a culture of continuous academic development. The programme was well received and successfully fulfilled its objectives of promoting academic excellence and innovation in research.
