Mr. Ranjyot started with explaining how important Sales is for industry overall, and how Sales understands the ever-changing need of customers. Sales ensures that the company earns revenues which are required to sustain a business.

He explained the types of sales functions, viz. B2B Sales and B2C sales, and the sub-domains in sales, viz. sales of consumer durables,. FMCG Sales, Sales of capital Equipment etc.

He explained the skills sets required to succeed in sales, viz. hard work, willingness to engage with other persons, willingness to travel, gaining a thorough knowledge of products etc.

He also explained the various product distribution models adopted by the industry.

 

 

This workshop was a great success due to the cordial efforts of Placement Head, Dr. Suresh Suvarna and the support of the Director, Dr. H. J. Bhasin.
