International Research Conference on Sustainability in Business-Opportunities and Challenges

Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management organized the International Research Conference on Sustainability in Business-Opportunities and Challenges -on 5 February 17, 2022 in online mode from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Prof.Anusha Patil, Prof.N.Balasubramanian, Prof.Vikas Sharma and Dr. Shilpa Shinde were the organizers.

Dr.Kamalji Gupta ,Chairman Governing Council welcomed the gathering and introduced the Keynote Speaker,Mr.Ashok Sethi Chairman, Tata Consulting Engineers, Mumbai. Dr.V.B. Angadi- Director, LLIM spoke about the relevance of sustainability and its significance in Business. Mr.Arvinder Anand – Vice President E2E Solutions North America Digital Services, USA; Ms. Payal Nanjiani- Founder & CEO, Success within Leadership Company USA; Mr. Sunny Nathani- Senior Strategy Consultant, Monitor Deloitte,USA; Dr. Mehul Chhatbar- Faculty of Business and Law, Coventry University,U.K., Dr. Mahalaxmi Parajuli- Faculty Abertay University, Scotland; Mr. Darshan Desai- Marketing Coordination, Ellerca Health Corp,Canada; Ms. Gautami Mhatre- Human Recourses Associate, North York General Hospital,Canada; Mr. Mahendra Kapadia- A Futurist and Peak Performance & Happiness Coach were the distinguished speakers. They emphasized that a focus on sustainability appears to be a must for a business to succeed today. For those willing to become more sustainable in business, focus is on shifting away from consumer-based economy to conserver-based one. A panel discussion on ‘ Innovative approaches to Sustainability’ with panelists drawn from highly reputed and diverse companies across India, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada and Scotland discussed about the development of sustainability strategies, marketing sustainable products and services of companies in their countries.

A special issue of Conference Journal of research papers contributed by both academia and practitioners from different countries was released.

The Conference was attended by more than 500 delegates and was a huge success and widely appreciated.

The Conference ended with a vote of thanks by the Conference convener Prof.Anusha Patil.
