Description

 

 

A National Level Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Commodity Derivatives and Risk Management: Tools, Strategies, and Applications” was organized in association with the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX). Conducted in a hybrid format, the program saw active participation from faculty members across India—both in-person and virtually. Expert speakers from MCX delivered insightful sessions on the dynamics of commodity derivatives markets, trading mechanisms, and risk management tools.

 

The objective of the FDP was to strengthen participants’ understanding of commodity derivatives and their role in effective risk management, bridging academic theory with real-world market practices. Through interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and case-based learning, the program offered valuable exposure to practical applications in trading and hedging. Participants benefitted significantly by gaining updated industry knowledge and teaching insights, empowering them to integrate contemporary financial market concepts into their curriculum and research.
