Golden Jubilee Memorial Lecture - 28th January 2023
The Honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari unveiled a special memento to commemorate the occasion and delivered the 50th Lala Lajpatrai Memorial Lecture.
Lala Lajpatari College of Commerce & Economics was incepted in the year 1972 under the leadership of great visionary and philanthropist Late Shri. Ram Prasad Gupta. The College is named after the great freedom fighter Shri. Lala Lajpatrai.
On 28th Jan 2023, the College celebrated its Golden Jubilee year and to commemorate the occasion, the Honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari graced the formal ceremony. Shri Koshiyari was felicitated by Dr. Kamal Gupta, the Chairman of the College trust, who also delivered the welcome address. Shri Koshiyari unveiled a special memento to commemorate the occasion and delivered the 50th Lala Lajpatrai Memorial Lecture, which has been the annual tradition of the College. The Honourable Governor spoke about Lalaji at depth and extolled the virtues by which he lived his life dedicated to the service of the country. He also enlightened the students on the importance of values stating that a generation that does not value its culture cannot prosper. He further emphasized on the importance of all round holistic development of students. He concluded his address by encouraging students to remain connected to their roots by quoting, “Run your family, run your business & industry but also contribute to society because without a perfect society, seeking a perfect world is impossible". The College Trustee Dr. Sunil Gupta proposed a vote of thanks and the occasion concluded on a happy note. The entire session was anchored by College Principal, Dr. Neelam Arora.
