Faculty Development Programme

To expose members of faculty to the latest developments in the business & to promote their skills & knowledge, the institute offers sponsorship to the members of faculty for attending national level /state level conferences/seminars /workshops organized by other institutes/universities.
The institute has a strong policy and programme for faculty improvement. There is a proper criteria for deputing our faculty members for various Faculty Development Programmes.

"Going Beyond the Syllabus to Improve Student Employability"

A Faculty Development Programme under the theme “Going Beyond the Syllabus to Improve Student Employability” was organized on 10th February 2017 from       9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management – Seminar Hall.

This Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was aimed at honing the skills of prospective, new and seasoned educators, trainers & placement coordinators.  Post registration and breakfast, the event was inaugurated by Dr. Kamalji Gupta (Chairman – Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management). The opening expert speaker for FDP 2017, Prof. Leslie Rebello (Director - L. R. Associates Pvt. Ltd.) explained “Contemporary Techniques to Enhance Student Employability”. Prof. David Selvenathan (O.D. Practitioner) addressed the audience on the topic “Experiential Learning as a Tool to Increase Students Skill & Employability” which was followed by sumptuous lunch. The last expert speaker, Prof. Nital Kothari (Academician and founder of Jai Hind Advertising Fest) shared her views on the topic “Roadmap for Holistic Skill Development”.

The audience consisted of 26 members from various Graduation Colleges and Post-Graduation Institutes. The valedictory address was done by Dr. Sunil Shete (Former Joint Director of Collegiate Education).

The FDP was appreciated by all the participants and it was a great success

 

"Research, Research Methodology & Pathway To Thesis"

Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management (LLIM) organized a faculty development programme (FDP) on 25th March, 2017, titled ‘RESEARCH, RESEARCH METHODOLOGY & PATHWAY TO THESIS.’ Management Education is highly dynamic and hence it should change with changing global and domestic environment of business and policy regime. In view of this, nature of education, teaching and learning in the field of business, skill, knowledge and attitude will have to be not only on structure but also research oriented to be relevant and useful. Realizing the significant role of research, in teaching and learning, Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management has conducted the FDP focusing on Research Methodology, Thesis Writing & SPSS Calculations. The occasion was graced by Dr. V.B. Angadi, the Director of the Institute.

Over 14 faculty members from various Graduate & Post Graduate Institutes & Research Scholars participated in the programme. The expert speakers on the occasion were Dr. Anil Sutar- Professor and Associate Dean, School of Research Methodology, Tata Institute of Social Science. The Topic covered by Dr. Sutar was “How to Select Research Topic, Objectives & Hypothesis formulation with examples. He also spoke about Thesis Writing and its Related Aspects”

 Dr. Sachin Kamble, Associate Professor NITIE. The Topic Covered by Dr. Kamble was “Research Design & Using SPSS software for Statistical Data Analysis-Easy Approach.

  The organizing committee included Prof. Vikas Sharma, Prof. Anusha Patil, Prof. Gagan Bhatia & Prof. Aditya Khandwe who are the faculties at LLIM. The program concluded with valedictory address and distribution of participation certificates by director Dr. Angadi & vote of thanks by Prof. Vikas Sharma, the FDP convener.
